Practice Support

The Practice Support team work closely with your Wealth Management Services or Platform Relationship Manager regularly connecting with your practice, supporting satisfaction and long-term relationships between your organisation and Raymond James. The Practice Support team are responsible for overseeing and implementing the transition process for all new branches of Raymond James and directly authorised firms, while offering flexibility and planning for your future goals.

We view ourselves as an extension of your team and take pride in providing you with excellent service. Our Service 1st approach is embraced throughout our firm and we’ll always treat you and your clients as our priority.

Platform services for directly authorised firms

Platform Services provide directly authorised firms commercial and strategic support. The Platform Services team are there to deliver satisfaction, support long-term partnerships between your organisation and Raymond James, your future goals, as well as keeping you informed of the enhancements and developments that we’re working on to help you serve your clients.  Your Platform Relationship Manager works closely with the Practice Support team, delivering regular connection with your business.

Training

Our customised training day for new offices covers helpful topics such as account opening, asset gathering, client reporting, fee and commission processing, marketing, compliance, and an introduction to the Raymond James systems. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet the teams who’ll be supporting you in the background.

When you are ready to hire new staff, they can also attend one of our dedicated monthly training sessions for new hires. This gives your new staff member an opportunity to put faces to names, and to get a comprehensive understanding of the middle office support we can provide.

Your systems set-up call

Typically held after your training day, when you’ve been set up as a new systems user our Training team will schedule an online session with you to configure your screens while providing you with a personalised systems refresher.

First trade support

We understand that placing your first trades can be daunting. If you reach out to our Training team, they’ll guide you through the process, supporting you every step of the way.

Follow-up training

After your first client accounts have been opened, your Platform Services and Practice Support team will organise an on-site visit to your office along with the Training team to provide the level of detail you’ll need.

Ongoing training

The Training team is always on hand to provide refresher training as and when you require it by phone, email, Zoom, WebEx or in person. We also have comprehensive systems guidance on the Raymond James Portal™, allowing you to access systems tips and instructions.

Monthly Tech Savvy sessions

These bitesize sessions hosted by the Training team are designed to help you leverage the latest Raymond James technology, enhancements, and tools to improve efficiency and grow your practice. Each month features a new topic and an opportunity to join and participate in an online webinar.

Trading efficiency

The Training team is also able to offer advice and best practice ideas to ensure you have the optimal workflow.

e-Learning

We also offer online learning tools through Raymond James University. Aside from offering courses in a wide variety of topics such as professional ethics, anti-money laundering and regulatory updates, there are introductory courses covering the basics of investments. These courses are particularly helpful to wealth managers with associates who are new to the financial services industry.
